CHESHIRE, Conn., Dec. 20, 2004 – Edwards Signaling & Security Systems announces the AdaptaBeacon® Explosionproof 116 Series beacons designed for installation in hazardous location environments. Available in strobe, rotating and steady-on incandescent lights, the beacons are suitable for industrial and commercial applications including food processing plants, refineries, mines, tankers, laboratories, sewage treatment plants, off-shore oil rigs, water and filtration plants and chemical facilities.

Built for high visual output and low maintenance, the signaling units are UL Listed for Type 3R and Type 4X installations, as well as Marine Rated. In addition, the 116 Series has beacons available in UL1971 diode supervised fire alarm models and for other applications requiring electrical supervision of signaling circuit field wiring.

The beacons can be bracket, ceiling, pendant or stanchion mounted and come with a high impact glass dome and dome guard. Factory-installed silicone gaskets seal out dirt and moisture, eliminating the need for external seals. The lights are finished in a gray-colored epoxy powder coat for corrosion resistance.
